Children playing soccer on a sandlot in Lusaka
Children playing soccer on a sandlot in Lusaka. This would be a typical scene except that the ball was a gift from some visiting Americans. More typically, children play with "balls" they have made by wadding up discarded plastic bags and tying the wad up with twine. They generally do play barefooted, despite the rocks and debris on their "field."
