Stews are popular in Lebanon. The cuisine is often spicy and hot. But because of the warm climate, many dishes are also light, that is, they are vegetarian. A traditional meal is the "Meza". "Kibbeh" is a popular beef entree that can be eaten raw, baked or fried.
Guests should at least try food served by host before refusing it, but politely declining a full meal can be done without offending the host. It is not appropriate to discuss business during a meal.
