Aberdeen Hong Kong
Aberdeen is a fishing village of sorts on the south end of Hong Kong's main island (Hong Kong island). Previously a pirate's haven, this area is now quite developed with modern highrise buildings all around the harbour area. But the charm of Aberdeen is the hundreds of junk fishing boats and sampans, which serve as floating homes for many Hong Kong natives, some of whom practically never set foot on land. There are floating restaurants too, and visitors can take tours of the harbor on the sampans, the little fishing boats that zig & zag for position all about the harbor area.
